BIO

Hospital Records’ recent addition to the family hails from across the pond, flying the flag for the US drum and bass family. Producer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, composer, music teacher and tea enthusiast Winslow, based out of St. Louis, Missouri, has quickly affirmed himself as ‘one to watch’…and keep watching. With previous releases on staple imprints including Spearhead, Soulvent, Goldfat, Pilot and Hospital Records, Winslow’s meticulous attention to detail, strong penchant for forward-thinking melodies, and his unique rhythmic identity have seen him turn plenty of heads over the past year as he gained an early seal of approval from scene tastemakers including Mitekiss, Mr Porter, and London Elektricity.

After experimenting with music production for a couple of years, by 2013 Winslow began exploring his relationship with drum and bass through his love for video games. Since then, he has delved into the vast plethora of the genre’s different styles which has become evident throughout his own unique productions. From his deep and dark steppers on his ‘Mad Flavours’ EP (released on Soulvent), to the liquid-funk masterpiece remix of Nu:Tone’s ‘Tides feat. Lea Lea ’ (which came out on the celebratory ‘H25PITAL’ compilation), it’s safe to say that Winslow has proved himself as a versatile artist with the ability to put his signature stamp on anything he makes. With frequent support from UKF, Spotify editorial playlists, Apple Music and some of the top heads in drum and bass—Winslow’s career is already shining brightly.

With a healthy selection of releases, Winslow has garnered support from drum and bass staples like High Contrast, Mitekiss, Nu:Tone, Workforce, LTJ Bukem, Makoto and Degs. Outside of music production, Winslow also creates regular content for his popular Youtube channel that delves deeper into his creative technique, thought processes and influences. From playing in orchestras from the age of eight, Winslow’s lifelong arsenal of musical training has translated across into his electronic music career, seeing him bag a spot on UKF’s ‘Future Vision’ livestream as well as playing at Hospitality Weekend In The Woods and Standon Calling Festivals (UK), and Hospitality on the Beach (Croatia).

Winslow’s newest releases on the USDNB (“Blastissimo”); Goldfat (“Orange Cat Riddim”); and Hospital’s NHS500 (“Spaced Out”) compilations continue to keep him front and center across the culture. His latest EPs “Class Dismissed” and “Edits 2023” (a free EP of edits and bootlegs on Bandcamp), just scratch the surface for how versatile this producer’s musical prowess really is. With interviews on UKF, a podcast feature on Diversity in D&B, and feature mixes on KoolFM and Rinse Radio, Winslow continues to be a huge influence stateside and a bright star in international drum and bass.
